Coinciding with the 83rd Celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan last April 9 at Mt. Samat Shrine, is the inauguration of Bataan Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Services (BUCAS) center also in Pilar, led by DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.
According to Sec. Herbosa, BUCAS center is part of DOH ‘s “28 for 28 by 28” initiative aimed at establishing 28 BUCAS centers across the country to provide immediate quality health care services to those in need.
BUCAS Centers provide immediate services that do not require hospitalization that include early detection of diseases such as Cancer, HIV/ AIDS, Tuberculosis and sexually transmitted disease. It also provides diagnosis and treatment for diabetes, hypertension and urgent medical services including minor surgeries and ancillary services
Gov. Joet said that the BUCAS Center in Pilar will be a big help to our constituents as it is expected to provide accessible quality urgent health care to the people of Bataan, being part of our vision in improving the overall health and well-being of Bataeños.
Also in attendance were Undersecretary of Health for North and Central Luzon, Dr. Giann Matthew Baggao; BGHMC Chief , Dr. Glory Baltazar; DOH R3 Regional Director Corazon Flores; Gov. Joet Garcia; Cong Abet Garcia; Mayor Charlie Pizarro of Pilar ang other officials.
